Level 3 HACCP for Manufacturing Refresher


Who needs this qualification?

  • Managers and supervisors of all food manufacturing businesses who are responsible for the development of a food safety management system based on the Codex principles of HACCP AND who have previously completed either a CIEH, RSPH or HABC L3 HACCP course
  • HACCP team leaders and HACCP team members
  • Note: This is not an accredited course – The CIEH, RSPH or HABC do not currently offer an accredited L3 HACCP REFRESHER course.  BIZRISK will provide successful candidates with a certificate of attendance.

Prior Learning Requirements

  • Candidates from small, medium or large manufacturing businesses who have previously completed a  CIEH, RSPH OR HABC Level 3 Award in HACCP 

Why is this training important?

  • Under EC regulation, food business operators are responsible for ensuring that they provide adequate HACCP training for those persons responsible for the development and maintenance of HACCP systems.
  • BRC Version 6 states that the HACCP team leader shall have an in depth knowledge of HACCP principles and that HACCP team members shall a knowledge of HACCP principles

Syllabus

A REFRESH over the original syllabus:

  • Introduction to food safety management
  • Preliminary procedures
  • Development of HACCP based procedures
  • Monitoring HACCP procedures
  • Evaluating HACCP based procedures 

Course Duration

  • A one day training programme

Assessment

  • Candidates are assessed by the tutor via various workshop activities throughout the duration of the course. A multiple choice test can be set by the tutor if required by the client

  • CIEH Level 4 Award in Food Safety Management for Manufacturing
  • RSPH Level 4 Award in HACCP for Manufacturing
