Who needs this qualification?

  • All persons employed in food & food related businesses who need to have an understanding of HACCP
  • It is particularly useful for those involved in the maintenance of HACCP systems & for HACCP team members

Prior Learning Requirements

  • There are no specific prior learning requirements for this course

Why is this training important?

  • Under EC regulation, food business operators are responsible for ensuring that they provide adequate HACCP training for those persons responsible for the development and maintenance of HACCP systems
  • BRC Version 6 states that the HACCP team leader shall have an in depth knowledge of HACCP principles and that HACCP team members shall a knowledge of HACCP principles

  • Principles and terminology
  • Practical situations

Course Duration

  • A one day training programme

Assessment

  • Assessment is by a 30 minute examination consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions

  • CIEH/RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing
  • CIEH/RSPH Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Manufacturing
  • CIEH/RSPH Level 3 Award in HACCP for Manufacturing
